At Neils Pharmacy, we are offering the NHS COVID-19 Spring Booster vaccination to help protect those most at risk from serious illness.
💉 This NHS service provides a seasonal booster dose to strengthen your protection against COVID-19 and reduce the risk of hospitalisation.
What Is the COVID Spring Booster?
The COVID-19 Spring Booster programme is part of the NHS seasonal vaccination campaign, running from April to June 2026.

Who Is Eligible for the Spring Booster?
The NHS offers the spring COVID-19 vaccine to those most at risk of becoming seriously unwell from COVID-19.
👵 Adults aged 75 years and over (including those turning 75 by 30 June 2026)
🏥 Residents in care homes for older adults
🩺 People aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system due to a health condition or treatment

Who Is Eligible for the Spring Booster?

👵 Adults aged 75 years and over (including those turning 75 by 30 June 2026)
🏥 Residents in care homes for older adults
🩺 People aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system
💡 Examples of conditions or treatments that may mean you are immunosuppressed include:
• Cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy
• Organ transplant recipients taking immunosuppressant medicines
• Certain blood cancers (such as leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma)
• Advanced or untreated HIV
• People taking medicines that weaken the immune system (e.g. high-dose steroids, biologics, immunosuppressants)
• Some genetic or rare immune conditions

Cost of the Service
💷 The COVID-19 Spring Booster is free of charge for all eligible patients under the NHS.
The Pharmacy First service builds on the NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service which has run since October 2019. The consultation service enables patients to be referred into community pharmacy for a minor illness or an urgent repeat medicine supply.
